Joy Roller, Founder of Archer Consulting, is a recognized economic development leader with a history of success in both the nonprofit and corporate media worlds.

As President of Global Cleveland, Joy led a civic/corporate initiative to increase the population of Cleveland by making it a more welcoming home to immigrants and refugees.  Under her leadership, Global Cleveland created online marketing tools and events to connect newcomers to jobs and community resources.  She also secured substantial funding from public and private sources.

As Executive Director of the Gordon Square Arts District, Roller led a collaboration of three separate nonprofit organizations in a single $30 million capital campaign.  With the construction of a theatre, renovation of two century-old theaters, streetscape and parking expansion, Gordon Square is recognized internationally as a model of urban economic development.

In addition to her economic development experience, Roller worked as a television producer, public affairs consultant and political campaign manager in Boston, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and New York City.  A one-time political director of Secretary of State John Kerry’s first successful race for public office, Joy started her television production career at WJW in Cleveland.  Her writing, producing and directing credits have appeared on HGTV, VH1, TLC, Discovery, Lifetime, PBS and Ideastream.

Joy holds a Masters of Theological Studies degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and economics from Denison University.  In 2004, she returned to Cleveland to attend Cleveland State University’s John Marshall College of Law.  She graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in December 2008.

We remembered what a terrific job you did in producing the GSAD Day festival, producing a video, taking information from reports like Team NEO and using that information to tell a story, and developing a website and collateral materials. We got such wonderful media coverage that no doubt lead to the success you achieved in raising 90% of the $30M goal. And, you did all of this on a very tight budget for 3 non-profits that weren't well known
